EEBA’S Legacy Campaign
-- It’s About People & Passion
EEBA is proud of its role in providing building performance education
to volunteers and staff of Habitat for Humanity through sponsorship of
Habitat “builds” and Houses That Work ™ educational series scholarships.
Through the donations made to the Friends of EEBA’s annual Legacy
Campaign, lives are changed forever, one house at a time.
Here is what one Habitat homeowner shared with us recently:
June 2007
Dear EEBA,
Thank you so much for sponsoring my home 7 years ago. My family
and I have lived here for 6+ years now. It does not look as
crisp and pristine as the day we moved in. The carpet has
stains, the walls have nicks, and the weeds need to be pulled.
There is no place like home!
I now have three kids in college or taking college classes and
everyone is much taller. We have had an assortment of pets
(pests). My sewing business is flourishing--I am on target to
make more money this year than I have ever made in my life! I am
also working on my master's degree and will continue on to earn
my doctorate.
I just wanted to thank EEBA for sponsoring my home and making
such a huge difference in my family's life. We were homeless
before we moved into our house here in Lakewood. The previous
landlord took the rent money and did not pay the mortgage, the
rental house went into foreclosure, and was sold, thus putting
us on the street. We lived with family and friends for a long 10
months and 17 days. Then we moved into this beautiful home and
have not looked back. We now sponsor organizations that help the
homeless.
I cannot thank you enough for helping my family and others.
Please note that you make a huge difference-one family at a
time.
Forever grateful,
Kordee R. |
